OLD BAWN BOYS ACHIEVE
A FIRST FOR THE CLUB
Posted:
18/03/2008 |
|
For
the first time in Old Bawn Gymnastics history, 5 of our
male gymnasts represented the club at the 2008
Appenzeller Shield Competition. Old Bawn have
never before entered a boys competition outside the club
walls and it is safe to say they did not disappoint.
All of the boys performed a floor and vault routine and
they did not come away empty handed. At level 2
under 8 Matthew Donoghue achieved 3rd place.
At Level 2 under 10 Cathal Larkin took the Gold
with Adam Lynch taking silver. Not far
behind was Ciaran McDonald who achieved 4th position.
At Level 2 under 12 Sean Keane took the Gold
medal. This is a fantastic achievement for the
boys and we hope to build on their success in the
future. On top of this, all 5 boys have been
selected to the regional squad. This is a
promising sign of things to come for our boys club!!
